Here is another angle of the tank removal. In the bottom of the cavity there was a thin layer of a foam rubber that the tank rested on -- there was also a harder rubber rib about 2-3" wide that ran right down the middle of the cavity. The tank was pretty well pitted and will need to be replaced.
