The Yamaha F70LA outboard is interfaced to a Yamaha Command Link Bus to which the Yamaha Command Link Multifunction Tachometer and NMEA 2000 Engine Gateway. The engine gateway is in turn interfaced to the marine electronics NMEA 2000 backbone to permit the Raymarine MFDs to display engine data with greater detail than is supported by the Yamaha Command Link Multifunction Tachometer. Among the most important of the data items shared is fuel usage, permitting the operator to know with great confidence how much fuel is remaining within the tank(s) at any time.
