Boston Whaler - Re-Crimping the Capsule
The attempt at JB Welding the leak between the globe and housing failed. After a little more thinking I realized the problem here was the o-ring that is crimped between the globe and housing has lost some of it's elasticity and likely shrunk in thickness over the years. To fix this I purchased some 1-1/4" PVC unions (http://www.lowes.com/pd_188233-69305-...Info=Union) and sandwiched the compass housing between two union nuts and re-crimped the assembly using a vice.
