This picture shows the new extended foot we put on the console to raise it up higher. The wood is Mahogany but is lighter in color than the original. I plan on staining it enough to have it match the original wood.

I didn't attach it to the deck at all, I fastened the front of the console to the underside of the front bench seat. There's a felt liner between the foot of the console and the deck.
