Boston Whaler - Custom Transom Savers
With everything that was going on with the transom I decided to re-do how the O/B had been mounted. In an earlier post I had commented about water getting past the spash well cover and accumulating in a well that the '94 - '98 Dauntless 15's share and how I had discovered that the O/B bolts had been over tightened causing the transom area directly behind the bolt to be crushed. I designed and fabricated my own transom savers for the upper mounting bolts as well as the lower ones. I wanted to cover more surface area than the standard savers offered due to my larger H.P. Yamaha. View of previous set-up with O.E.M. (white) splash well cover.
