This looks a lot like the boat in our front yard, only ours doesn't have the captain's chair, and instead of a back bench seat there is just a flat fiberglass area and then a lid covering the battery compartment. Plus there's a large 35 gallon aluminum tank crammed in the front storage area. Trying to figure out how to make it more comfortable... The numbers (stencil) are 3A5340, so that seems to make it 1972.
Hi, I just purchased what I believe to be a Tashmoo 16. Mercury Marine told me that my 70 horse Mercury engine would push the boat no problem but the boat seems to go to about 20 MPH and then the propellor seems to cavitate and won't go any faster. The transom is 22 inches the engine is 20 inches. I was told you can have a difference of 3 inches from propellor to bottom of hull. Is that a bracket on the back of your boat. If so where did you get it?
