I'm in the process of restoring my 11 Sport. I want to keep the original brass lifting eyes and norman pin. Does anyone have any tips on restoring these to their original luster?

Thanks,

Michael

Try either brass-wool or a product called "Never-dull". Salt and vinegar work well also.

Brasso works too, but you have to rub a lot, and in any case brass starts to tarninsh pretty much right away.

After the initial sanding of my Norman pin while chucked in a drill press, I sprayed mine with a clear acrylic and will let nature take its course from here on.

I would ditch the brasso and use sand paper.http://www.whalercentral.com/forum/vi...ad_id=8845
