It's convenient jn New Orleans to leave boat in slip as much as possible. Trailering is a lot of work. Would like to keep my 2006 Montauk 150 in the boathouse in the water and bottom paint is required for that. Can anyone recomend a bottom paint that will not reduce speed? Thanks much ...
Unless you are racing for a world class trophy, any good brand of antifouling paint applied properly will reduce your speed only a negligible amount. Most negatives come from boat owners that want to keep their boat as pristine and original as possible.
I've been using "Interlux" anti-fouling paint for 20 years, It has'nt let me down yet. I agree, trailering will take up "boating time", and is too much work. Small boat's are easy to trailer but, they are also inexpensive to dock. What ever it takes to get to the water though...
