I can't figure it out. After a significant rain there is 1-2 inches of water on the floor of the the cuddy cabin. The two small windows are closed and the door is shut and even so it is protected by a hard top. Even if it does rain, that much water should not be on the floor. Is it coming from somewhere else? Is there a seal or plug somewhere that may be missing or damaged?Has anyone had this problem? Its an inconvenience to clean, I don't want it to cause damage to the floor of the cabin and being a Boston Whaler I should be able to leave it in the rain without water somehow draining into the cabin. Opinions please.

Thanks, mscoastwhaler.

Well, the old trick of getting in the car to see where its comming from would aply here. Clean up all the water and stay in side and have someone with the garden hose aply water to the deck and cuddy / windows to see where its comming from. Thats the same as a dealer would do.

I believe I've figured it out. There is an access port to the fuel tank on the deck floor between the captain chair and the entrance into the cabin. As it was raining, the water puddles over that 6 inch port. if the boat is sitting flat so the water doesn't drain towards the back of the boat the iid to the port will leak. As i removed the lid, water just poured in. The water drained on top of the fuel tank and down behind the wall between the fuel tank and cuddy then draining into the floor. In other words, the port does not have the adequate seal it needs to keep the water from draining into the port. Now my worry is what damage might be behind the wall (mildew, wood damage, corrosion, etc.).

Thanks for your help,

J

If possible leave open to dry out, might take a while. You might need to change to a new gasket for the cover plate.
