Well its that time in my project. When I redid the hull all the mounting holes were filled and glassed . I didn't have the foresight to measure where the console and rps were. Can any of the members give me some locational information for them? Obviously I center them side to side - I am looking for where to place them in relation to the front or rear of the boat.
Thanks!
Scott

I do not have measurements but I sent you a couple of pics of console to floor that I have collected as to get an idea of where to mount my console. as for the rps once you have the console in place put the rps on the floor and sit, stand, walk around then sit, stand and walk around a dozen more times. you will find what feels good pretty quick.

Thanks for the email and pics! I am hoping that one of the guys that has an original mount can get me some measurements. I have an idea - just want to do it right.
Thanks again!
Scott

Scott - I can get you what you need, sometime over the weekend. Have you looked at my Son's photobucket site? There are some pictures in the 19 Outrage album that may give you what you need.

I have raised my console 6" (highly recommended because of the very low wheel and control height on the "winged" style console 1973-1982), but it is still in the exact original position, front to back. In the photo, the holes under the beam section of the riser have screws countersunk into the original holes in the floor. You may be able to interpolate the dimension in this photo.
If not, I can get some measurements off the boat this weekend. Incidentally, your boat is looking fabulous.

Thank you for the picture! That is very helpful - I think I can figure it out from there. If you happen to be on the boat this weekend an actual dimension would be great but please don't go out of your way.
For my first mount I'm going with the stock height. I may raise down the road but would rather get a feel for it first. One other quick question. Do you know what size screws are used to mount it?

Scott - The screws are SS sheet metal #14 x 1-1/4", with finishing washers. As with all Whalers, the screws are sized in length so that there is about 1" penetration into the boat's floor or fuel tank cover.

I can get you the measurements this afternoon. My Outrage is stripped bare as I clean it up and get ready to hang my new-to-me 2006 Suzuki DF115 on there soon. My console is out on the ground, but I can give you the measurements to the screw holes.

Measuring to the foot of the console.....24 1/2" back from the front step to the front of the console and 53 1/2" back to the rear of the foot. My first front screw was 26 1/2" back from the front step. The console was centered, thus 19 1/2" in from the sides of the boat.
All measurements are at the outside flange at the base of the console...does this make sense? If not send me an email with a phone number and I willl call you.
