I'm finally ready to put my 68 Nauset together and just drilled the holes for the Baystar helm. It fits perfectly
but it seems to me that there should be a rubber gasket on the flange to seal it. There wasn't one in the kit so will have to make one...has anyone installed one of these on a Mahogany console?...was there a moisture problem around the base? Chris

Looked at their manual, are you suggesting the gasket between the back mount plate and the dash? May be a good idea to protect the wood.
