I am the new owner of a 1989 Outrage Cuddy W/D here in CT. The boat was launched today and the forward fish box/cuddy floor has about 10" or so of water in it. I am going to run the boat "dry" so I plugged up the stern scuppers and installed an automatic bilge pump. Where is the plug hole to plug up the forward fish well? I am hoping it is not underneath the small access cover in the cabin way underneath the floor and out of arms reach. There is a bilge pump in that forward sump, but I need to get that plug in first.
This water is coming in from somewhere and the rear sucupers are now dry. The boat has the factory installed forward fishwell bilge pump. Whaler informed me that this plug was on the starboard side of the sump about half way down the channel. I cannot reach find it at all, even with my long arms. Can I plug this from the exterior and then just level off the rubber plug?
