OK Guys,

I am looking for information about how to wire the up the warning alarm system for an OMC Motor. Right now there is a buzzer wired in line that comes of my wiring harness from the motor. This alarm comes out of the harness near the ignition switch. There is also a wire leading out of the VRO tank which I assume goes to the buzzer as well? To add to my confusion there seems to be a lead coming out of my throttle/shift control assembly (not the T&T wiring) that I believe goes to my this warning alarm as well? Are my assumptions right? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for an OMC wiring harness / alarm system? or is there a website where I can find this info. Thanks................

Jeff,

The VRO oil tank has 2 black leads that run to the engine only.
1 wire goes to a good ground. The other wire connects to a 'bullet' connector that is located on the port side of the engine somewhere near the lower cowling about in the middle fore and aft.

If you need a photo, let me know.

The other wire you mention coming out of the throttle/shift controller is for the neutral safety switch. This is so your engine will not start in gear. One of these wires I believe goes to ground and the other wire goes to the key switch.

Did the photo I sent you help?

Let me know how your test results come out on the VRO system.
