Has anyone ever heard of mixing pepper in with bottom paint to repel barnacles? Yes, I'm serious : ) Apparently the critters don't like spicy hulls?

A guy at work said someone he knows does this and removes the boat at the end of the season with a barnacle-free hull.

I was told buy 2 different marinas to use it. I did last year on my pontoon boat with cheap water base bottom paint and it was great except a little grass/algae growing right at the water line. Not one barnacle!! I am in heavy salt water at Chincoteague and thats what the local marinas do.

Try adding some "Daves insanity sauce". That's got to be the hottest thing I've ever had.

Always buy the best "Interlux" bottom paint. There are plenty of poisons in bottom paint to kill off any "Planktonic" (free swimming) barnicles off of your hull. Save the hot sauce for the "Wings"
