I am confused. My boat was full of water up past the center console and as high as splashwells, yet the bilge drain was unplugged and free of debris.

How the hell did this happen? I have the trailer tilted up and water has always drained before as it should

What am i missing?

There has to be some kind of obstruction in the tube. Maybe frozen water inside the tube?

A bucket won't hold water if it has a hole in it. At least my buckets don't.

Yea, frozen water, leaves, bottle cap, dead mouse, wasp nest, or maybe a smart car? Let's take guesses, I'll go with bottle cap.

Guys,

I just need to think before I type/speak moving forward. Jumping to stupid conclusions like this makes me wonder......

Maybe I can get her to chime in with the nonsense I just pulled

At least boat is free of water now that the acorn in the drain tube is gone

Sometimes it's the simplest things that will get us. Case in point, when I reconnected my battery yesterday, I put the black wire on the + terminal and put the red wire on the - terminal. Guess what happened? Yep she wouldn't crank. Once I quickly figured out what I did wrong, the damage was done. Fortunately the only damage was to the inline 10A fuse to the starter solenoid.

Lesson learned: check, recheck and then check again. Lol.

It happens to all of us bro, don't sweat it.

Plugged drains. I hope you are not a plumber. That would be really embarrassing.
