Some one suggested using stainless pop rivets for stripped screws on railings and it work great. I don't remember the size of the rivets? Can anyone help with the size?

I won't rivet my railing since I take it off and store it in the shed once in awhile. But I'm only a 15'. Seems like a great idea for a bigger boat with permanent railings. And you can drill them out if you ever have to.
My brother broke my old, old hand rivet gun last summer pulling 3/16" stainless rivets. I bought a newer model - still hand driven - and it works fine on those same rivets.
