I finally pulled the trigger and picked up my first 13'. The boat is very sound, but not pleasing to the eye! The bottom paint is wearing off, very splotchey, and looks very bad. The sides of the hull are acceptable.
I won't have the money, time, or money(!) to do a full paint job for 6-12 months. Is there a cheap paint that I can paint the bottom with? The paint in good shape and not flaking, its just worn thin in alot of places and the white is showing through. Its a full time trailered boat, so anti-fouling is not a concern. Something quick and easy and will last a season or two.
If you're just using off from a trailer why waste any time or money right now just enjoy the boat for a while. then when you decide to work on it use good quality products, take yor time and do it right . you'll be glad you did. there's too much work invoved to do it twice in a short period of time. good luck! NO such thing as a cheap bottom paint that I know of
