I have a chance to buy a 1993 25ft Sentry for $3500. Its very dirty and pretty rough - no trailer and completely unrigged? But super cool and tough looking -

I have a couple questions
Is this a good price? what would it be worth if I decided I didnt want it?
are there fiberglass issues/weakspots etc I should look for on this particular model?
and If you include paint - what does it cost to completely rig a boat like this?

Any pictures to share? Any soft spots in the floor, when you walk around on it in your bare feet?

Those are work boats, and it was likely rode hard... Be careful...

Here is one for comparison...

This might be the same one you are looking at? Price is $2000 on craigslist ad...

If not, the price might be a little high on yours. But if it's a busted up, waterlogged mess then it's worth less than nothing to me...

Oh yeah, GIG 'EM!

Ya thats the same one - I think I can get it for what he is asking then I was thinking about cleaning it up putting it on a trailer and possible turning it around - I have yet to go crawl all over it-he says its in good shape with no rot or soft spots but that is a bit hard for me to believe - Lafayette sure is a long way too

I can't promise you anything, but I may be able to get over there in the next day or two and get some more pics of it. Or has the owner sent more pics to you? I'm no expert and really don't know anything about that model, but if I get a chance I could go knock around on it and give you my thoughts. The holidays are so busy for me and on top of that we're trying to get ready to leave town for a week. I'll see what I can do. Can you tell me where it is in town?
Mike
