I bought a Dauntless 180 CC that had been on the lot for 2 years. The caulking in the sole joints is separating and mildewed. Any suggestions for cleaning, short of replacement, and if replacement, tips and pitfalls.
I would strip it out and recaulk. You can use exterior polysolfide caulk. Best thing is to clean it out, use blue tape to mask the joint and caulk away.
Thanks for the input Kamie. Would one have to go to a marine store like West Marine, or online alternates, for the polysulfide caulk or is that a product available at the big box stores like Home Depot, Lowes, etc?
