Well, it's an easy calculation. We have to assume the tank is perfectly rectangular, even though we know it is always rounded on at least some edges, but anyway:
28.5 x 20.5 x 12.5 = 7,303.125 which is the cubic inches of volume of that shape. Convert that to cubic feet by dividing by 12 then by 12 again then by 12 again:
7,303.125/12/12/12 = ~4.23 cubic feet
One cubic foot equals about 7.48 US Gallons, so multiply 4.23 x 7.48 = 31.64 gallons.
Knowing that a tank of those dimensions is not going to be fully rectangular, it is safe to assume the tank capacity id less than that figure, so I would say that's a 28-30 gallon tank.
thanks guys i did'nt think about goggling it . i just knew that there were some pretty sharp peeps on this site.iwas curious because my fuel gauge said almost empty and it looks like i had almost had about 1/4 of a tank left.
