By the way, I'm booking my next trip for Toledo Bend tomorrow. I'm planning on going over New Year's and possibly Mardi Gras. I just can't squeeze it in before Christmas.

In fact, it would be pretty cool to have an out of state whaler in the mix. Last year we had a great time and I made a photo album to display the photos of our get together. http://www.whalercentral.com/userphot...lbum_id=48 I'm off from work from December 27 until January 4 and can meet up at Toledo Bend lake during that week. I haven't caught a decent sized fish in a while so if the fishing is that good in the lake, I might just have to give it a shot. Because it is the border of our two states, they honor both. In case I get busy with work, remind me about a week before visiting. A sub contractor of mine has a camp there and he always knows what they are biting on. I can give you a list of tackle that will tantalize the taste buds of those big bass! Matter of fact, I just talked to the guy yesterday and he told me that his grandson caught a 6lb. largemouth on a watermelon red plastic worm on Monday. Personally, I may die of heart failure if I latch on to a 6lb. anything!

The reason I asked is because I fish up in lake Texoma, which borders north Texas and southern Oklahoma, and they require a special lake Texoma fishing license. I don't know why they don't recognized either a Texas or Oklahoma fishng license. I guess it's like everything else that's going on recently, the government is just trying to milk every penny they can out of us. I'm looking forward to catching some bass soon.
