why does non skid deck look black

Member Posts: 3 Comments: 0 Joined: 08/27/09	I have a new 19' montauk, have had it three days it's an 2008 leftover. today I noticed that the nonskid deck looks black, i can't get it clean it looks like the color is coming off the fiberglass. any comments. thanks I don't mean that the entire deck looks black, just certain spots. Member Personal Page Project Albums Posts: 902 Comments: 8 Joined: 01/30/06	I would guess a little mildew. get some hull cleaner and let it sit on there for a bit then brush it clean. Might even try letting a light clorox mixture sit on there then wash clean with good soap and water.

WHIPTAIL did you try out a little bleach on the black spots then let sit in sun? Rinse with plenty water? Did she clean right up? How you liking that new Whaler? Tell us about her.
