To prep for gelcoat, aside from removing bottom paint and patching, I am guessing that I need to sand the entire boat with 100-120 grit sandpaper? Is that it?
I am pulling off numbers and stickers today, but will wait until i have a power sander here to do the actual sanding.
I have used 80 grit on my DA 6" with great success.
And have used 100 gr sheets to do all the hand detailing.
You may want to look at my project page .
There could be something in there that will be useful.
