What are the problem area's to look for when you are lookin to buy an older whaler

The weight of the hull is one. Some of the older hulls are water logged.
Check the through hull drain tubs... Make sure they are intact. Look around for unsealed holes etc in the deck. Also if this model has the 40 gallon in floor tank - it should be checked and if original you should consider a replacement in your purchase price considerations. I am restoring a 72 19 Whaler (your low pro is my hull without the cap). I hope this helps.
