A few years ago I had a shop fabricate a replacement anchor storage cover for my 1991 Outrage 17 after the original had finally delaminated and split badly. The shop used the Starboard AS (anti-skid) product and did a great fabrication job. The color was pretty much an exact match to the Boston Whaler Desert Tan gel coat color.

Anybody know which Starboard color it is? I'm guessing Sanshade?

I have read members pick Sanshade and Seafoam for colors. It is impossible to tell from the photos.

I would call the company and ask them to send you a sample block for both colors. The degree of fading of your gelcoat may come into the matching equation.

After a little more investigating, it looks like the Seafoam color is the match to Whaler's Desert Tan. I'm gonna try and get samples to confirm.

Argh... well I found the receipt from when I had the anchor well cover made and it says Sea Pearl. Sheesh, I'm glad I didn't go ordering the other two or three colors I thought it was... lol.

Unfortunately the Sea Pearl color in the AS (anti-skid) doesn't seem to be too easy to come by unless buying a full sheet. I just figured out King Plastics (they make Starboard) is in North Port, not far from where I usually keep my boats. I wonder if I can go dumpster diving for scraps. I don't think they'll sell direct to the public.
