As you can see on my PP, the bottom paint is scratched and missing in places and I would like to put a fresh coat of bottom paint on the hull. I will be painting it on my trailor, knowing that i will be missing a few spots of "recoat". I have alot of questions as i have never done this before.

What kind of prep do I need to do on the old paint. What is the best type of paint to use and what color do I use to match the Whaler Blue I have on the boat now? How long do i need to wait until I put it back into the water? Finally are their any disadvantages to doing this.

Thanks

Mike
