I just picked up my first BW Montauk 17 over the weekend. But I noticed there are a few stripped screws that hold the railing in place . How do you repair? This is just a start of many questions I may have since I don't know much about boats.
Best way I've found is to get a small Hex key/allen wrench......put it in your drill and insert the small end in the hole to clean out the loose particles........clean it out good and then fill with Gorilla Glue and then redrill the hole...........Be careful with the Gorilla Glue.........It expands BIGTIME!
Ask any question's you might have, when I went looking for a boat, I didn't know anything about them either, I just knew that "Whaler's" reputation for safety was 2nd to NONE. It's the "BEST" first boat you can own.
