I'm getting ready to mount my 60hp 2 stroke Yamaha on my 1980 15' whaler. I'm looking for rigging tips. Which mounting holes to use, which prop is best, etc? I know some of you are very experienced with this boat and I'd love to hear your feedback. I'm also thinking about an electric trolling motor, any thoughts on that subject would also be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
I have a 60 HP ETEC on my 79 Whaler and I have a 13 1/2 x 15 Stainless Solars Prop on mine. Look at my personal page and you can see that it is mounted all the way down.....Hope this helps
I run the last of the "two-smokers" '04 Johnson 50 hp. You might want to contact the guy's at "K&K" Marine in "Island Park", they're pretty friendly, and the big "Yammi" Dealer here. Don't forget to add your Yammi "Ring Free" in your fuel.
