I have to go out of town for a little over three weeks. Is it better to run all of the gas out of the engine or leave it as is? I know for long periods of sitting, fogging oil needs to be used. I just wanted some opinions on what is best for a short period of no use? I have heard both good and bad about running the gas out, but I know you fine folks here on WC will know the answer.
Thankyou.

If it is for a short period, no need to run the fuel out. If you are storing for an exteded period it is good to fog the engine and run the fuel out.

If you have an oil injected engine, VRO, it is never a good idea to run it out of fuel.

Fog the engine and treat the fuel with an additive for sustained periods of non-use.

Put a little "Sea Foam" in the tank, it has a fuel preserver in it. Gasoline will start to degrade in quality after 30 days without stabilizer.
