Well since nobody seems to know, I Tried a Impeller and housing that was parted out of a 1991 yamaha Waverunner and it's exactly the same except the drive shaft is 7/8" shorter. So I'm in going to try to swap drive shafts. I'll let you know if it works out.

I bought a 92 waverunner jet pump for $75 it had a stainless steel impeller. It was the same except the drive shaft was 3/4" shorter. I used the original drive shaft with the other parts and now my Rage 14 is in the water and being enjoyed!

Does anyone know how fast the rage 14 with the yamaha 650cc is supposed to go? It seemed to go like a 13ft with a 35hp with 2 people on board. Is there a larger Yamaha motor available on any Rage 14's?

My friend has a Rage and the performance is disappointing. Saw a thread somewhere that had an outboard conversion for the Rage.

I've seen them and they come out alright but you loose the swim platform. It may be more cost effective to sell it and buy a outboard model. I think the conversion happens when the OMC engine dies, then it may be worth the effort. If the boat is good running condition it would'nt make economic sense to convert.
