tightening my throttle

My throttle has loosened up and will not hold speed. is this an easy fix? i have a Yamaha throttle and i have pulled the cap off and found two screws. will tightening these solve my problem.

It cant hurt to try. I know the OMC has a knob to increase friction on shifter. I am sure yours has one to.

There is a friction adjustment screw.
