I just added a new depth finder and was just seeing if anyone knew how many degrees the transome is for the 15 foot 1991 GLS Sport would be. Is it 14 degrees? The last two times out the transducer was rooster-tailing water up onto the motor and into the boat. The first time was terrible, second time much better, but want to get it just right.
Thankyou.

If you are trying to get it even with the bottom of the boat, you can hold a straight board along the hull and align the transducer up with the board.

Hey Tom, good to hear from you again! That is what I originally did was use a board along the bottom. The first time out water was spraying up all over the place. So I figured the transducer was too low. I raised that and it was still spraying up a little, but better than before. So I re-mounted the transducer and raised it up a little more with the possibility of adjusting it higher if need be. I have not had the boat out since doing this. I do have the seam perfectly aligned with the hull so I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong by following the directions too closely of how to mount the transducer.
Thanks once again for your help! Maybe we can get the Whalers out together one day soon.
Marty
