I AM RESTORING A 1964 WHALER. I HAD THE FIBERGLASS REPAIRED AND THE ENTIRE BOAT REPAINTED. I REMOVED THE OLD RUB RAIL AND ORDERED NEW RUB RAIL TO INSTALL.

I HAVE TRIED TO ATTACH WITH CONTACT CEMENT AND IT WILL NOT HOLD.

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO ATTACH THE RAIL WITHOUT USING SCREWS?

e-mail me and I will send you some photos and an explanation.
I presume that you have the white "L" shaped rub rail.
Have you kept the old rub rail?
How was it attached to the transom?

It tokk me a couple of goes at it, but I was pleased with the outcome.
