Cabela's sales them also, I'm sure they are not close to the quality of Mills but may be more affordable. Just an option.

I think the Mills covers are the "Gold Standard", but did you check the price?

Has anyone found a pre-made cover that fits an 84 15' sport with bow rails?? I lost my tach the other day in a rain storm and am already sick of bailing out the boat.

Our old '79 15 sport had a mills cover an it was perfect until someone shot fireworks over it. Doh!

I need a cover but prefer not to pay the "gold standard"

Cabela's does not list the 15 sport with bow rails.

Any good solutions to the cover conundrum?

I can't find any prices on the Mills website. What does a Mills mooring cover for a 15' go for?

I have a custom mooring cover for my 15 CC made by Big Sky Tent and Awning here in Missoula. They have some good experience with boat covers in canvas and Sunbrella and mine is well made. The cost is variable depending on the features. I got the plain jane for I think about $400.

I guess not everyone is lucky enough to have an honest man doing canvas work in their town. Have you looked around at all? Might get lucky.

A 15 Sport cover in Sunbrella from Mills is $894 plus shipping. Great cover if you are willing/able to spend that much. I had one before I converted to the Supersport style bowrail. The Mills cover has a 5 foot internal stainless tube support down the centerline which is nice, but it does make the cover a bit awkward to roll up and store when not in use.

I recently purchased a cadet gray Sunbrella cover specifically for a 15 Supersport from boatcoversdirect.com for about $400. See my personal page for a picture. Good quality, but not equal to Mills in fit. I think the forward part of the cover is actually sized to fit over the taller standalone bowrail that is usually used in conjunction with the 15 Sport siderails. Not a big deal to me, I just stick an adjustable support pole in near the bow, the cover is actually reinforced for a pole in that location.

After this summer I will have used my mooring cover while tied to a buoy for days at a time. I'll know better in the Fall how well it stands up when used for more than just a dust cover in the carport!

Thanks for the price info. That's way too much money for me to spend, but then again, my boat is pretty used. Not pristine like so many I see on WC and elsewhere.
