HHHmmm. There is an uncredited photo of mine on there as well. The one that is mine is of Don McIntrye on Whitewater running on the South Channel of the St Clair river. The image that is on that site is the raw image and not the photoshopped one I sent Don. So, it could not have come from him but, it must have been taken from one of my photo sites.

Thanks for the reminder from CW, Jim. I have no problem with the photos of my boat being used, especially since there are so many shown, that most people know my boat anyway, and that some not even having been taken by me, but I thought reference to my particular boat, and other's boats, would be made. One thing that is interesting, if you click on the photo in the third from last row of photos, of my son in the boat bow forward, it goes to an "IslandStudio" section, where down at the bottom there is a photo of my boat, again, riding bow high with me in a hood, that I have never seen before. I don't know who in my cruising group took that photo, which looks to be in the vicinity of the Mackinac Bridge.
They sure seem to have done a good job locating every known photo of Ribsides on the various websites.

I hate to mess with the Banana boat site since it's such a gas, but it's a simple question of copyright and common courtesy.
In this case this isn't a for-profit venture just a fun collection, so no real harm done. However, we all know by now - always get the copyright holders permission before grabbing or downloading photos. Be on the safe side of the law and the person's vanity by getting permission. Links are a safer way to go since you aren't technically "holding" the photos.. Names, places and credits would just make these particular photos more interesting.
Photos with kids - always get written permission of the parent - period.
Often a simple credit or identification caption will do for compensation unless you are dealing with a professional.
This especially applies to logos and any calendars, T's, caps bags with anything that looks or feels like a Whaler. The laws have changed and the law now favors the manufacturer /trademark holder and they are vigorously protecting their trademarks like never before.
For example the case of the VW bug drawing. I can only find these about the issue after a few minutes of searching but it'll make the point more about trademark and copyright well enough.

Donald B. Stewart as an artist has a leg to stand on since his work is original and a parody so to speak.
Don't go using Whaler line-drawings such as the one found on the owner's manual or photos of boats on T's, cap's or calendars especially when it's for-profit or any other use unless you have written permission from the manufacturer in this case Boston Whaler. If you do have permission - well - kudo's!

In doing some reading, it seems like most production of the banana hulls ended in 1978, but some were made as late as 1982. Is that correct? Anyone have a 1982 banana, or seen one? Any images?

Yes, that is correct. 1982 was the year the last 21 footer was molded.
