I went out for a test run with Rick Sr. from Chesepeake Whalertowne, Grasonville, MD on a 16SL he sold me and reconditioned to my requirements.
I find it hard to belive how much time and effort he has spent on let's say a rather modest sale to a boating green-horn. I am very good with all electrical, machanical and woodwork, so not easy to fall for cheap sales talk.
While on the water he walked me step-by-step from dock to test run and back to proper docking. He discovered minor fuel problems that he found and corrected them as he explained every step. He also gave proper instructions on how to bring to plain and trim to get a nice smooth ride.
He did find one major problem with a small pin-hole leak at the top of the fuel tank and canceled delivery until he corrected the problem. They have already replaced all the fuel lines and drains.
Have others had this kind of oustanding service from dealer?
Any other questions or considerations I should look for prior to delivery?
Will add pictures after next Saturday when I take delivery at the Whalertowne fest at "The Jetty".
