Joe,

So I am looking for some ifo on your accumix oiling system.

How does it work? IE how does it pump the right mix into the fuel?
Does it have a max horsepower it can be used on?
Would you run this over a VRO System?
How much does it cost?
What are you thoughts of how it has preformed for you?

I am just kicking around the idea for not hooking the VRO system back up on the 235. I have to get a new tank if i do so, is that money better spent else where. I have a fear of the VRO going to crap and the motor going good bye. If I mix the fuel in the tank with oil I know the motor is getting mixed gas no matter what. I was wondering if the accumix is a system that could replace the VRO, or do I keep things as they are.

Jeff,

The Accu-mix system is for smaller engines. Only up to 25hp I believe. The Accu-Mix delivers the correct amount of oil to the porportionate amount of fuel. I have never had any problems.

Jeff,

The Accu-Mix-R is an oil jug with a mixing valve inside. The gas line from the tank goes to the inlet and then a line from the outlet to the motor.

There is no electrical hook-up. No mechanical parts. Pretty simple set-up.

I'm not sure if it's sufficient for a 235 hp motor. As I recall mine had a max hp rating on it in the 25 hp range.

I'll see if I can find the paperwork.

I paid around $100.00 for it and ordered it through http://www.mastertechmarine.com/arine.com/.

Man - I took too long replying. I started to reply and then my daughter stopped home and visited for a while.

Seems Joe and I concur on the max hp.

I've also seen brand new ones sell on eBay for around $50.00...
As Mike mentions, it is a very simple system. You don't have to do anything except put oil in the tank.
