To the folks in the NE. I felt it necessary to say that I truly cannot believe boating season is here once again. This must have seemed as one the longest winters on record.

Why am I writing this? Pure excitement. That's all.

I KNOW ! March came in like a Lion, and went out like an Elephant in a China Shop.

Splashed the Conquest yesterday with the help of my two younger boys. What a great feeling to be on the water again.

I know how you folks must be feeling. My brothers, Bro-in-Law, and two nephews were down mid last April, and my brother from Conn was estatic being able to take Raggedy out for a cruise and our fishing trip. He is definately jealous of my near year round boating, although this year with the high consistant winds have made going offshore (yeah i know, some of you don't consider 10 miles offshore to apply), but it is to me when i'm bucking 4 to 5 foot seas. But on the flip side, its going to be in the 90's all week, so the cooler and more pleasurable temps are over until next Oct.

Enjoy your season, and be safe!

Nice analogy. The lion and elephant thing.

I was hoping for the first run this wkend. However, the weather looks like it might not cooperate. But I may take Friday...looks like low 70's.

Waiting to see if another Piscatiqua river meeting is going to be planned. Missed it last year due to a minor engine problem...lost reverse.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this winter would never end up here, seemed twice as long for some reason? A friend of mine describes spring weather in NE as follows: March, March, March... June. Pretty accurate if you ask me!

I like how you can still see all the scratch mark's on the sidewalk concrete from people spending "Hours" chipping the ice clear last winter.

I got tired of shoveling. At the time I knew better weather was near, and I started driving over the snow. Well it stayed cold... and the pack turned to ice. And the chipping began. I would chip away each night....
