Hi, I would like to install a 10 or 12 gallon fuel tank in my 13 footer. Where have you guys found to be the best location and what type of tank did you install?
I find the 12 to be too big to store without an issue. I usually carry one or two sixes depending where I'm going, one in each corner of the stern. I am think about carrying two threes instead of sixes. I hardly ever use even six gallons on one outing.
On my last whaler I found the need for more fuel and installed one of these. I mounted it under the rear seat. It gave me more room in the boat for other gear. You could mount it under the front seat too, but I never tried it there.
