In the spirit of improving the comfort of my 85' Outrage, I bought some step cushions from a site sponsor. They are intended to be snapped down. My first instinct was to use an adhesive to attach the snaps to the boat. However, I began thinking that a small screw hole may be less damaging. (Each cushion has seven snaps.) My boat has very few holes in the hull and I'd like to keep it that way. I was just thinking that an adhesive may be more damaging than a screw hole. What do you suggest? Thanks in advance for the assistance.
Velcro...I hadn't thought of that. If I can get a sticky-backed velcro product that will stick to the boat without being absolutely permanent, that could do the trick. It would allow attachment/removal of the cushions without the screw (snap) holes. Great idea! Thanks! The counter-sinking to prevent cracking is a good idea as well, I just hate to drill holes in the old girl.
