I have a Boston Whaler, FC 27, 1988 vintage. All the way in the stern, about one foot from the end of the boat, directly down the keel, there is a thru hull that appears to be brass lined. I have had this boat for 5 years and have never actually noticed this hole until this year as it has dripped all winter. There are some barnacles and such up in the hole and I cannot tell if it had a plug in it or the reason for it's being.
Should this have a plug installed? I can't see where it is an outlet or inlet for anything. It appears to be, although I didn't try it, very similar to a standard drain plug's diameter.
It's very possible that it is a drainplug for one of the fishboxes or storage area..........See if you can run a snake wire up through it and maybe that will tell you where it goes
