I found the article on how to install but how do I get the old one out?
I am referring to the main drain tube at the bottom of the transom

take a flat head screwdriver and collaps the tube in on itself. You can then pull it out thru the hole, or push it out into the boat. once you do it, it's pretty easy to figure out the process.

When I removed mine it did not want to go out the back, I took a pair of "Needle Nosed" pliers and a screw driver, and small piece of 3/4" PVC to knock it foreward to sump area, I then twisted it flat like a ribbon twisting it out in chunks and rest of it by rolling the pliers, like "Kamie" said "Collapse it" with the screw driver. Most tubes are worn so thin you just need to get them started, then they remove fairly easily.

You can find out where to buy them in the same article you already read.
That article also gives you the part numbers.

Go PVC and avoid all the flaring issues.

You can see the PVC ones in the splash well on the last two pictures on my personal page.

added note;
The older classic whaler had the brass thru hull drain tubes. If some one was restoring a classic to be original, these may not be the thing to use.
