Cetol Marine for RPS Seatback

Member Posts: 19 Comments: 2 Joined: 07/10/08	I'm restoring my montauk's RPS seatback. . already spent much time sanding the wood with both medium and fine grit sandpaper. .now she's ready for some product. I've heard mixed reviews about Cetol Marine. . .I heard it gives a great shine and really makes the wood look beautiful. .but also slick as hell. I don't care about the slickniss b/c I won't be standing on the seat. I'm just looking for something that will look great and last a few years. Should I go with the Cetol?

There is also a Marine light version that does not leave the tint. I would not expect it to last 3 years, rather it would be recommended to apply a coat each spring after your initial application.
