Does anyone know of a source for replacement louver doors and frames?

Have you tried any of the WC site sponsors? They are rolling by in the upper right-hand corner. Perhaps Nautical Lumber???

I see a lot of requests for these, but they are hard to find, at least in decent shape. I have a spare one, with frame, for the console front, but I am saving it for exactly that reason. This would be a nice addition to these wood shops products.
Problem is, they look like they would be expensive to manufacture, or specially ordered to size from one of the larger companies that still make generic ones.

AFI makes doors like the ones used on the classic console though non of the sizes are exact direct replacements. Cedar Lake used to make replacement doors however, they effectively shot themselves in the foot with horrible customer service and went out of business. Mike Stennet at Nautical Lumber (site sponsor) can make them but does not have them as a stock item. I have given him detailed images with dimensions on all of my old Outrage standard console doors and fire extinguisher box. Contact him for an idea on prices.

Larry, would you be willing to lend that door to Mike to use as a reference? I know he has been looking for one so he can duplicate all the details exactly. I am sure he would be willing to return a favor though, I would want to speak for him.

The issue with the doors is setting up for the gig to cut the louvers and making that setup cost effective. Other than that it's not hard to make both the frames and the doors.
When I replaced my console, I made new frames for the doors, rather than make new doors.

I had considered setting up to make some of these doors a while ago, but got little or no response. I suggested that they would be $200 or so, per door, I guess the price scared people away.

I have seen the frames, rails, styles and louvers as separate parts at several marine stores. With a few cuts, you can make up a door to your specification. Don't recall the prices.

I would be willing to spend $200 for the door and frame. I need both doors and frames.
