dmames,

What type of steering system do you have? Cable System or Teleflex with the single black tubing?
We have to really know what you have.
A good place to start is disconnect the engine from any steering system and see if the engine will rotate by hand. If it doesn't, then something is wrong in the engine pivot tube. If the engine does turn, then something is wrong with the steering system somewhere.

Let us know.

Thank you, the boat is parked at my dads house in houston. I ll have him check the steering system and also try disconeccting the engine from the steering.

If you have the cable and pulley type steering, most motors had steering connectors either fabricated into or mounted on the carry handle.

There should be a bolt and nut on one or both sides of the handle. Remove one or both of these connections.

I have seen these setup with cable going down just the starboard side and down both sides. I had a Sourpuss with the cable running down both sides.
