My 25 hp Yamaha mounted by a dealer, the lower end is still in the water when I lift the motor after use. Since I keep the boat moored at the dock in salt water I am getting corrosion. What can I do to get it out of water? dealer says to weigh boat down in front. Not very practical.

We solved the problem by installing an aluminum wedge between the engine and transom. I don't recall the maker but it was one of the jackplate companies.

It's a very simple installation.
