I have a 1978 17 Montauk and am wondering if people keep the drain plug in the front locker when underway? Or if ever? I feel like it’s just a drain and shouldn’t be plugged. What’s the drain plug protocol? Thanks

I always left the bow locker drain plug in on my 1978 Montauk.
Only time I removed it is when I needed to rinse the locker out from Mud from the Anchor etc.
