Hello all. I'm in the process of buying a 150 Montauk with no front railing. I'd really like to add a trolling motor, but have no experience with them.
So, technically this is meant to be my wife's boat. She's not thrilled with the trolling motor idea, so I'm also interested if anyone has experience using a mounting plate of some kind that will enable easy removal.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

On new boats, you can order the trolling motor panel and wiring on all 4 of the Montauk models.

They put it at the bow right under the nav light, with the wiring that goes into the console for the TM batteries.

For the motor mount panel, there's a lot of variety based on which TM you buy.
