I have questions about the livewell on 190 Montauks. I saw a 2007 in person and it looks like the livewell is a molded part of the front of the splashwell. On some later models it looks like a separate unit. By 2018 it looks like there is no livewell at all. I am looking for a 190 Monyauk and would appreciate any input on the livewell configurations over the model years and if the livewell can be removed from some models. I am looking for a Montauk and like the idea of a large open space behind the seat. I am priced out of the new body style.
Thanks in advance.
Bob
Hopefully plying Lake Erie on a Montauk this summer.
For what it's worth I've had Whalers with one of each type. For me the splashwell mounted livewell is far more convenient. Having to give up your seat every time someone needs another shrimp or pogey can become tiresome during a day of fishing.

That is a good point. Plus with the seat cover you can't even see what's in the livewell. But I do like the extra space to walk around in the back.
