Model: Revenge 22
Year: 1980
Power: Yamaha F225 (single)

Problem: The old helm & steering cylinder had noticeable play even after changing the hydraulic fluid and bleeding the lines. Outboard would bounce left/right if I cranked the wheel hard.

Solution: Replaced the ~20 yr old helm and steering cylinder with new.

Notes: Replaced like for like. Grateful for help from my neighbor who has installed/serviced many of these units before as a marine tech. New fluid, bled the system, steering is firm, no free-play in the system, no bouncing or feedback when cranking the wheel hard. Confirmed pressure relief valves worked and no leaks under the helm.

100 hours later, no issues. Will check fluid and bleed system before launch this spring.

Helm: SeaStar HH5271 (old) -> SeaStar HH5271-3 (new)
Cylinder: SeaStar HC5358 (old) -> SeaStar HC5358-3 (new)
